Viata este dupa cum spunea un scriitor roman o punte itnre leagan si mormant. Este prea scurta si de aceea ar trebui sa profitam de fiecare moment ca si cum ar fi ultimul. Alan Maxwell Pottasch, realizatorul de reclame din spatele campaniilor publicitare "Generatia Pepsi", este un exemplu minunat de persoana care a trait fiecare moment intens facand ceea ce ii placea cel mai mult, publicitate. A continuat sa lucreze pana la varsta de 79 de ani. Asta e o performanta tinand cont ca a stiut cum sa transforme promovarea unui produs intr-un mod de viata si chiar si in ziua mortii lucra la o reclama pentru audiovisual, in Los Angeles. A fost un om mare cu o imensa semnificatie pentru marca Pepsi. Din 1957 si pana in 1991 a lucrat pentru companie dupa care s-a retras si a continuat sa colaboreze ca si consultant. Important ape care a avut-o se reflecta in bine cunoscutele sale recame Pepsi avandu-i ca protagonisti pe Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Ray Charles, Michael J. Fox, Cindy Crawford, Britney Spears and Beyonce. In onoarea sa in septembrie la sediul PepsiCo din Purchase, NY, va avea loc slujba privata de comemorare. Este uimitor cum moartea unei persoane poate sa-ti deschida ochii. Vad dincolo de informatiile din stiri un om care a iubit viata si s-a bucurat de tot ce aceasta ii oferea. Nu e nici o placere in a vorbi de sucumbarea unei pesoane, dar ceea ce e important este sa ne amintim de mostenirea lui si sa invatam din experienta traita de el. Silinta si perseverenta te poate aduce pe cele mai inalte culmi. Pepsi jeleste pierderea unui mare colaborator, familia jeleste moarte unui foarte scump sot, unui tata bland si a unui frate iubit. Sa pastram un moment de tacere in onoarea lui.

Conform zvonurilor plata la o suta de surferi e mult mai mare decat la cea de la TV, obtinand mai multi bani din programele difuzate pe Internet, pastrand in acelasi timp traditionalele ratinguti si vanzari de DVD. Care e problema ? Retelele de difuzare sunt abia la inceput si se confrunta cu problema unui numar limitat al audientei online. De exemplu, daca ABC.com a atras 8.5 milioane de surferi pe de-a intregul, serialul "CSI" al CBS a avut 20 milioane de telespectatori doar intr-o zi. Aceasta problema va fi discutata in timpul intrunirii Asociatiei Nationale a posturilor de televiziune ce a vut loc luni.
